I always encourage my clients to get in the portraits of their children. I’m so glad Drew’s daddy could start work a little bit later so that we could get this beautiful family portrait. This is being printed as a large canvas to go over their fireplace.

Words cannot describe how much I love this family. I have photographed them five times in the past two years and now they are like family to me. The girls mama sends me monthly photos of them and I always look forward to the next time we are together. We had a wonderful time together for their 1 and 3 year portraits despite dodging some rain drops and swatting some flies. When I said goodbye Annemarie promised me with a pinky-swear that she wouldn’t grow up so fast. Sweet girls you are such a joy, I’m already looking forward to the fun we’re going to have next year!

This beautiful mama has been waiting years for a baby of her own. It was such a joy to photograph her little dream come true in the golden sun of a warm spring evening. Congratulations ‘A’, I know he is everything you had dreamed of, and I could not be happier for your family!

I met up with this beautiful family over the weekend to document their family of three before they become a family of four. Brody took a little bit to warm up, but by the end of our time together we were good buddies. He is the only toddler that has ever called me Anne Katherine, his mama said they were working on how to say it all week. I wish I could say Brody’s tears at the end of our session were because he didn’t want me to leave. In truth, he didn’t want me leaving with my tricycle that he had become very fond of.

Congratulations on your new little one, I am looking forward to meeting him in May!

Alakh’s mama contacted me for a session when he was already over a month old and by the time I could fit her in my schedule he was 6 weeks old. He is such a bright, serious little guy already, I’m excited to watch him grow up!

A new beginning | Camp Hill Childrens Photographer

Many of my clients know that my family became a foster family when I was 10 years old. At first we were the interim home for newborns that were being adopted and years later we fostered some older children as well. One in particular came into our lives at 2-years-old. I remember lingering by her bedroom door her first night with us and hearing her soft whimpers. I couldn’t help but scoop her up and rock with her for a little while. I know how it feels to love kids that are not your own biological children, and I admire all the families that do.

I first met Andrea over a year ago as she was just beginning her journey of motherhood. She opened up her heart and her home to two beautiful boys. It has been a long journey but today is a day of new beginnings for their family. Today Stephen & Izayah are officially ‘her boys’. She is a hero to me, and although I can relate to the first part of her journey, I am so excited for what lies ahead for her!

I have been waiting weeks to post this session, but could not until the adoption was final!

I’m working through a baby boom this week in addition to finishing all the Christmas orders, so blog posts will be a little bit delayed. Here’s a little sneak peek just to tide these families over until I come back from Christmas break.

First is an adorable couple who is expecting their first child in January. This beautiful mama is celebrating a very special birthday next week… so Happy Birthday T! I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby boy! Can you tell we had some fun?!

I certainly couldn’t leave out seven-day-old Mya with her adorable chubby cheeks! She was in no hurry to be born, but was certainly worth the wait.

Lydia & Liam were the first children I ever photographed– of course at that time I was using a black and white film camera, Lydia was a toddler, and Liam was a little baby. Every year when we get together I am always amazed at how much they’ve grown in just a year. They are both wonderful children and so photogenic it makes photographing them such a joy. Thanks for a fun afternoon guys… stop growing up so fast!

They still have such gorgeous eyes!
